Biological attributes

Phenology Floración
Plant description Rhizomatous herb to 60 cm. Decussate, leaves paler below, no latex. Long green inflorescence, flowers only grow on one side of rachis, flower white, star-like tube with purple tip, twisting.
Locality and habit remarks Andean cloud forest; growing in shade of understorey in the leaf litter, some palms around. About 1 km southwest of main Otun Quimbaya Sanctuary for Flora and Fauna station on Sendero Humedal.
