Biological attributes

Phenology Floración
Plant description Small tree to 8 m. Leaves are bright green when young, darker green when mature. Abaxial surface of leaves lightly tan. Pedicels are reddish brown at base and pale green at apex. Calyx cream to off white, corolla pale white, anthers bright yellow.
Locality and habit remarks Growing in soil on southwest bank of stream in regenerating secondary cloud forrest. Tree leaning East over the water into direct sunlight. Small ferns around base, but otherwise clear of other vegetation. Stream South of Sendo Humedal trail at Otun Quimbaya. On the South-West slope. Growing on steep slope of the stream roughly 200 m upstream (West) from the trail entrance to the stream.
