Phenology	Floración
Plant description	Tree to 15 m with a woody trunk. Leaf lamina and petiole pale orange puberulose. Axillary shoot growth is pubescent with pale orange hair. Orange free flowing latex from fruit, stem and bark when cut. Fresh 'green' scent from young leaves. Low frequency occurence in the habitat.
Locality and habit remarks	Evergreen lowland tropical forest. The individual is growing in the understory in partial shade, on a South facing slope above the track. Other plants in the habitat include Melastomataceae and Cyclanthaceae. The soil contains a high clay content. Walk North-West in the direction of Medellin along the Medellin to Bogata highway from the Ecocementos factory. Walk up the highway until you come across a clear access track on the left, West of the highway. Follow the track, and stop at the fourth bend. Above the road on the bend is the collection site.
